City trio doubtful for UEFA Cup match

Soccer Betting Lines

12/02/2008 - Manchester, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Manchester City has fitness concerns over key trio Robinho, Micah Richards and Shaun Wright-Phillips ahead of Wednesday's UEFA Cup visit of Paris St Germain.

The trio all started Sunday's 1-0 derby defeat to Manchester United but are doubts for the group stage visit of the French side to Eastlands.

"Shaun took a knock to the ankle on Sunday and is struggling," manager Mark Hughes told the club's official website. "Robinho's ankle is sore and Micah, who came off on Sunday, is a doubt as well."

Meanwhile, Hughes has revealed that three other players will definitely miss the Group A showdown through injury.

City will be assured of progressing as group winners should they maintain its 100 percent UEFA Cup record this season with a third straight victory.

He added: "Gelson (Fernandes) is still out for another week or so. On the longer-term front, Kelvin Etuhu and Michael Johnson are both two weeks away from being back with us.

"Changes are being forced upon me, but it was always on my mind that I'd look at this game and hopefully be in a position to rest some players that have had a big workload in recent weeks.

"That's still the case, but winning the group is important to us."

Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Odds

Will he or won't he?  Now that the Dallas Cowboys have a new head coach in Wade Phillips, the big question will be: Does Terrell Owens stay with the team.

Jerry Jones continues to suggest that Terrell Owens will remain with the team.

"I've said that he's back, he's here, he's under contract," Jones said. "In the interviews I've just been through (to hire a new coach), it was very clear to me how highly he's thought of and how much of an impact he had on our offensive success."

Just to be sure though, Terrell Owens cleared out his locker and removed his name plate.

Terrell Owens was among the Cowboys most productive players this past season, catching 85 passes for 1,180 yards and a league-best 13 touchdowns.

But T.O. is due a $3 million roster bonus in June, then a $5 million salary this season. Cutting him before then would save a lot of money and headaches.

Aside from the questions surrounding Terrell Owens, the oddsmakers at MySportsbook.com have concerns over starting quarterback Tony Romo's state of mind and whether he will remain a starting quarterback.  It is also not known how players will adjust to new head coach, Wade Phillips.

Here are the football odds as seen at MySportsbook.com and subject to change after February 10, 2007 if not locked in prior to that date.

Terrell Owens could return for Cowboys next game
A bye week will allow Terrell Owens broken hand to recover just in time for the next game the Dallas Cowboys are slated to play, according to reports. MySportsbook.com, an football sportsbook, has posted football betting lines on TO playing.

Owens broke the bone leading to his right ring finger Sunday night and had a plate surgically attached to it Monday. Although Owens' hand was swollen and aching Wednesday, Dallas Cowboys coach Bill Parcells said he's optimistic the receiver will be back at work next week and catching passes a week from Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

MySportsbook.com online sportsbook listed Terrell Owens with odds of 7-2 (or $7 paid out for every $2 bet) to return back for the game against Tennessee.

"I certainly wouldn't rule it out now," Parcells said, referring to Terrell Owens immediate return. "Maybe five days from now I might, but I wouldn't rule it out now. ... I know we're looking to try to get him moving around pretty good in the next day or so. So we'll see where we are."

Owens did not speak with reporters Wednesday, but said Sunday he'd be out two to four weeks. A return against the Titans would be 13 days after the surgery. The Cowboys were listed as an early -7 1/2 favorite vs. the Tennessee Titans for Week 4 at MySportsbook.com
